Since I did not attend any courses about color during my life, I was not familiar with the color theory and how it works with story in animations.

I found a lot of reference from the animation films. For examples, The Incredibles, The Cars and The Dam Keeper. They all have some color direction done in pre-production to follow, like color script and color key.

To do color design, the colors should be true to the local object and environment. However, they also need to capture the mood of the characters and the emotion of the audience according to the story flow.

I believe there are many things to learn about color design in the coming months. I am so excited.
